Simon Marwitz trained and worked as a power electronics engineer at K+S KALI GmbH and studied electrical engineering at the University of Kassel and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. His master’s degree at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology focused on energy systems and energy technologies. His master’s thesis was on the “Simulation of the driving and charging behaviour of electric vehicles”. Since October 2012, he has been working as a researcher at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI in the Competence Center Energy Technology and Energy Systems, where he is primarily concerned with the integration of renewable energies and electric vehicles on distribution grid level.
